This Privacy Policy describes how Truck Fuel Book collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.
By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
1. Data collection and use
The app is designed with a privacy-first approach. Registration is not required and we do not store personal data such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses on our own servers.
Data entered in the app may include:
- Truck and trip data, such as fuel norms, distance, fuel consumption, and route information
- Financial settings, such as currency, fuel prices, and bonus-related values
- Work and time data, such as logged work hours and calculated hour bonuses
- Document images, such as photos of receipts, invoices, or other documents captured through the app
This information is stored locally on your device.
If you use the PRO version and choose Google Drive backup, your Google account email may be used on your device only for authentication with Google services. We do not store this email on our own servers.
Document images remain in the app’s local storage until you delete them. If you create exports or backups, copies of your data may also exist in the locations you choose, such as local storage or your Google Drive.
2. Backup and synchronization
The app provides two ways to secure your data, both using ZIP archive files:
- Local Backup: You can create a ZIP backup containing your app data and related files. This backup is saved to a location you choose using your device’s system file picker.
- Google Drive Backup: PRO users can manually upload ZIP backups to their Google Drive through the app.
Google Drive backup is manual only. Uploads are never automatic. You can see, restore, or delete available cloud backup files inside the app.
3. Export options
In addition to full backups, the app allows export of specific data in:
- PDF format, for structured trip and fuel reports
- CSV format, for use in spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Exports are created only when you explicitly start the action.
4. Third-party services and ads
The free version of the app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Google AdMob and its advertising partners may process certain technical and advertising-related information, such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, approximate location, and privacy or consent signals, in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the app may display a consent message to request choices related to personalized advertising and related data processing where required by law.
For users in applicable US states, the app may display a privacy choices message to support rights provided under applicable state privacy laws.
The PRO version of the app is ad-free and does not display advertisements.
5. Device permissions
- Camera: To take photos of receipts, invoices, and other documents
- Internet: For Google Drive backup and restore, Google Play billing, and ads in the free version
- Billing: For Google Play subscription purchases
The app does not require storage or media permission for local backup or export because these actions use the Android system file picker provided by the device.
6. Data security
Your data remains primarily under your control because it is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back it up.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we aim to use privacy-conscious design and minimize unnecessary data collection, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
